Day 3

Oops running behind.....Sorry!

Made it through work fairly well. Still felt overwhelmed but got lots of help.

Day 3 was fairly uneventful. Got in at 1:50and didn't get ifussion going till about 3:15. So after my flush I got out of here about 5:45.

Even took a call from a customer during treatment. Not ideal but it is what it is.

Traffic coming down the hill sucked. Got home a little before 7:00.

By the time I got home started feeling run down and very tired.Stared feeling like a fog washing over me. Just sat at the TV spacing out.

Took another sleep aide and of course crashed hard!!! At this time still felt ok and made my lunch for Thursday. Also, ate a great dinner.

So fairly straight forward...

Only 2 days left!!!

Day 2

So fairly uneventful today. Got there about 1:30 and they quickly ordered my chemo. Since I already had an IV in they checked it and 30 minutes later I was off and rolling.

Got done about 5:15. I also crashed for about 45 minutes while I was waiting for the IV to be hooked up.  Didn't sleep very well at all. Uncomfortable because of IV and just felt weird last night.

Getting something to help me sleep. I have like a billion different mess I can't pronounce. Kind of scary.

Theresa just came back with a treat and she is reminding me to drink WATER!!!

She is the best.

Had s an ok time at work. Kind of felt like I had the flu. Also felt overwhelmed all day. I am very busy but I have never felt overwhelmed like that.

Not really sure when I will "fall off the rails" bit I know it's coming. Doing this 5 day infussion I really have no clue how fast thecsideceffects will kick in.

Praying I can work all week but Theresa thinks I am nuts!! Maybe I am but I don't have a lot of time off left so going to push it!!!

Lastly will post a picture of my blown veins!!! My arm hurts like hell still!

Day One

hey there!!!

Here we go......feeling Ok. A bit light headed at first! Post later... Trying to this on iPad!!! I have about maybe half hour left. Took an hour to get my IV. Blew 2 veins in right arm, not suprising.  Going with left arm!!! Talk later.

Next Week Schedule

So my schedule next week goes like this; first treatment 2:10 Monday Afternoon. Then everyday after that at the same time.

Call me crazy but I am planning on working all week. I actually need to. Not much vacation days left!

Curious how I will do with a daily infusion. Not sure how I fill 2 1/2 hours every day. Lots o movies I guess.

I am going to try to track how I feel so I will have info for next time.

Sounds silly but I don't remember how I felt each day. Only remember the fever and the hospital stay.... Can't belive its already been 7 years!!!!

Appointment tomorrow

So....... My labs and consult tomorrow I guess. No clue after that! Doc is unclear when I will start treatment.

Looks like its 5 day infusion vs 7  day continuous. OHSU does not do  the 7 day pump. No clue why but what ever, won't go back to previous Doc and hospital. Not looking forward to being lost in the ER again.


Expect much better experience soon. I do however feel once again like I am on an island alone... Hate that! Really don't want this.... Really hurting my family... Completely unfair. I have had my fill of crap the last 7 years to last a life time but it just keeps coming!!!!!


Well cry me a river right........ It is what is and move on!

I am Back!!!

As the title indicates I am back posting after a very long  break.

I figured once I got through the HCL then the PAO ( x2)😄😄 I earned the right to shut this down.

Then....... It happened, my stupid white cells betrayed me and started letting those damn hairy cells back into my life.

Well here we go again! This time however, I got smart, I hope. I got a new Doc at OHSU. She is awesome.

So, it appears my counts tanked a few weeks ago. I went from 3.5 WBC to 2.88 in 3 weeks and an ANC of 2300 to 1470...

As a result, my Doc insisted I plan on treatment over Christmas!!! No F IN way!!!

So I chose to screw up Thanksgiving and get this over with.

Just as well, I can't keep my emotions in check and I  feel like I am going through menopause.. Hot & Cold every day.

Tired of worrying about getting sick when I traveling and thinking about treatment.

As I hoped,  work is stepping up again. Thank God! I owe them big time..
Anyway, enough for today.

My first appointment is Tuesday at 1:00 and then at 2:00. So stay tuned!!!

New Milestone

Hello there:

It's been a long time sine I have posted. I have been dealing with my hip dysphasia.  However I thought I would pass on the good news that I am now only getting checked once a year!!!!!! 

It's about time.. Once I deal with this hip issue I will be free of all this crap and start living again!!! 

On good note got a new dog!! Her name is Molly and she is awesome. This time next year I will be back running and feeling good!
